CADtools will distribute GPAINNOVA’s machinery and supplies to dental labs in Germany

February 12 , 2021

GPAINNOVA, the global leading company in dry-electropolishing solutions for metals, medical devices and aquatic drones, has just reached a distribution agreement with CADdent, one of the main German companies specialized in solutions for the dental industry. Under the umbrella of its latest business line, the CADtools brand, CADdent will distribute GPAINNOVA’s machinery and supplies to dental laboratories on the German market. This partnership will enable GPAINNOVA to extend its presence in the metal manufacturing industry sector in one of the major countries in Europe.

From now on, CADtools, created in 2018, will be CADdent’s line to sell machinery, equipment and a wide range of consumables for European dental labs. Additionally, CADtools will also offer technical support to assure an optimal maintenance of the distributed machines.

A big step forward in the cooperation between GPAINNOVA and CADdent

The agreement is a major step in the alliance between these two companies, who have been collaborating closely with each other since 2017. CADdent, whose activity revolves around dental technologies like laser melting, milling or 3D-printing, has been using since then three machines designed and created by GPAINNOVA’s. Specifically, CADdent’s fleet of machines includes some of the DLyte10D (a medium-size electropolishing machinery, easily integrated into medium-sized dental laboratories) and the DLyte100D (the biggest compact machinery for dental laboratories with large production).

Both are patented machines for grinding and polishing cobalt-chrome and titanium alloys for the dental industry. They are available for all types of dental bone supports, spacers, crowns, bars, anatomical structures, implants and orthodontic supports.

These two machines are based on the disruptive DLyte technology. This solution simplifies and standardizes the post-production process of metal parts, improving the finishing results obtained with traditional polishing systems. In September 2018, DLyte received the TCT Award for excellence in Additive Manufacturing Post-Processing.

Two leading companies in cutting-edge technology for dental laboratories

GPAINNOVA is a tech Spanish company born in 2013, based in Barcelona, Miami (Florida, USA), Hong Kong and Shenzhen (Mainland China) and specialized in surface metal finishing machinery, medical devices with RESPIRA and USV (Unmanned Surface Vehicles) with GPASEABOTS. It has a team of more than 120 professionals on staff and more than 35 engineers, and had a turnover of 15.8 million euros in 2020. The company has been selected by Financial Times among the 1,000 Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies in 2020, ranking 76th.

CADdent offers more than 55 years expertise in the dental sector. Created in 1965 in Augsburg (Germany) as the dental laboratory Labor Rager, this company became in 1996 one of six test labs in its country for CAD/CAM technology, and has consistently developed this technological approach ever since.

Taking advantage of the accumulated experience, CADdent GmbH was founded in 2009 to meet the special needs of its target group: dental laboratories from all over Germany and Europe. In recent years, the company opened two new subsidiaries in France (2014) and Italy (2017). In 2018, CADdent founded a further business unit for the distribution of dental products, machines and software: CADtools GmbH. Since then, CADtools has been a 100% subsidiary of CADdent GmbH.
