Este t\u00e9rmino no s\u00f3lo se define por la composici\u00f3n qu\u00edmica de los metales y aleaciones, sino tambi\u00e9n por muchos otros factores, como el dise\u00f1o de los elementos de fijaci\u00f3n, la calidad de la superficie, las concentraciones de tensi\u00f3n y el agrietamiento. Los factores ambientales, como la concentraci\u00f3n de iones cloruro, la composici\u00f3n qu\u00edmica del entorno corrosivo, la temperatura, el pH, la presi\u00f3n y los agentes oxidantes tambi\u00e9n son importantes para determinar la resistencia.<\/p>\n<p>El electropulido en seco es un <strong>proceso de acabado electroqu\u00edmico que elimina una fina capa de material de piezas met\u00e1licas<\/strong>, como titanio, cromo-cobalto, cobre, aluminio o acero inoxidable, entre otras. Esta tecnolog\u00eda es el m\u00e9todo preferido para aumentar la resistencia a la corrosi\u00f3n y mejorar la calidad superficial de las piezas met\u00e1licas. Esta tecnolog\u00eda proporciona a las piezas met\u00e1licas <strong>30 veces m\u00e1s resistencia a la corrosi\u00f3n que la pasivaci\u00f3n<\/strong>. Por ello, <strong>ha sustituido a la pasivaci\u00f3n como m\u00e9todo favorito<\/strong> para mejorar la resistencia a la corrosi\u00f3n. Adem\u00e1s, es capaz de eliminar el hierro libre incrustado, los contaminantes y el tinte t\u00e9rmico o la cascarilla de \u00f3xido y reducir la rugosidad de la superficie en una sola operaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p><strong>La pasivaci\u00f3n<\/strong> es un proceso qu\u00edmico de acabado de metales para mejorar la resistencia a la corrosi\u00f3n de las piezas de acero inoxidable. Para este tipo de metal, el proceso de pasivado utiliza \u00e1cido c\u00edtrico o \u00e1cido n\u00edtrico para eliminar de la superficie contaminantes ferrosos como el hierro libre. El tratamiento qu\u00edmico da lugar a una capa protectora de \u00f3xido que tiene menos probabilidades de reaccionar qu\u00edmicamente con el aire y provocar corrosi\u00f3n. La pasivaci\u00f3n consiste en sumergir la pieza met\u00e1lica a tratar en un ba\u00f1o de \u00e1cido. De todos modos, las similitudes terminan aqu\u00ed.
